Who We Are

The Quantum Technology Association is a non-profit entity aiming to develop the quantum technology sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  Quantum technology is a promising sector where countries compete to advance in what is called the “Quantum Race” to gain a competitive edge that propels them to the forefront of the global economy. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is rich in local talents and skilled professionals, and our goal at the Quantum Technology Association is to harness this human capital and prepare the labor market for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the economy of the future.

As an emerging field, quantum technology remains unfamiliar to many, and the information available about it is often incomplete or inaccurate. This leads to public hesitation in learning about the technology and raises concerns about its potential misuse in the future. At the same time, local talents and professionals who are knowledgeable in this field often struggle to find opportunities to grow and gain experience. This is where the role of the Quantum Technology Association becomes essential — to bridge these gaps. 

Fields of Quantum Technology:

·   Quantum Communication.

·   Quantum Computing.

·  Quantum Sensing and Metrology.

The Association’s activities include the following:

·   Raising awareness about quantum science, quantum technology, and their applications.

·   Organizing educational and training programs and courses in the fields of quantum technology.

·   Promoting science by providing content that simplifies quantum science and its technologies for young learners.

·  Conducting and publishing research in the field of quantum technology.

·  Holding workshops related to scientific research in quantum science.

This is under the patronage and supervision of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development and under the oversight of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
